... uploading my comics to DeviantArt. Now, please hear me out. I am really, really grateful for all the support you guys have shown me over the past three (I guess?) years, be it via favourites, comments or whathaveyou. However, I've got pretty much the exact same problem as TwoGag's creator, drunken-novice: Lousy click-through rates. And by lousy I mean basically non-existant. Look, I get it. I love convenience and free comics just as much as the next guy. But the fact of the matter is that I've put tons of work into my website - I've programmed everything from scratch, had about four or five redesigns and I'm doing my very best I can to

So, after saving up money for the last two decades (read: months) I was finally able to buy myself a Wacom Intuos 4 L. So, let's get a short review up in here, shall we? Best 500 bucks ever spent. Period. Just wanted to let you know.

In case you're interested: Piece of me also has a Facebook page. A few Likes wouldn't hurt. In fact, they'd be very, VERY appreciated. - Lu out. -

Thank you for the watch! :)
Hey how have you been?

I listened to the kind advise you gave me and it helped me improve this fan art scene completely:
Future Sonic by SuperMoonImagination

Now the elbows look a lot nicer where they bend, and ditching the bumb maps for the suit and fur gives it more of a cartoon look. I tried a little motion effect too at the shoes, but I've never done this before so I'm sure it will improve for future work.

Thanks for the help! :)
Theeeeere ya go, this looks a lot better, doesn't it?

I'm gonna guess that you did the motion blur in an image editing program after rendering it, right? There's actually a way to do motion blur in blender, it's rather easy (once you know where it is); here's a short tutorial if you want to look into it a little further: www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdAO91…

Also a little depth of field *could* help to bring the character a little more into focus (if that's what you want, that's entirely a matter of taste), which is also rather easy to do once you know where to look for: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cf7NBw…

Just a few further suggestions, but those are really minor complaints. I'm getting a much better feeling overall by now, overall a massive improvement. Great job!
Wow I had no idea Blender had a motion blur feature. That looks really simple to use, too!

For the depth of field I made the background a little out of focus (but not too much) in comparison to the foreground because I wanted things like the text on the alert sign to be readable. I see what you mean about that, and if not for the sign it would have helped to make the background less clear because it would mean I would not have to be worried about detail quality so much. (I will be taking advantage of this later)

Thanks again! It's been a great learning experience and I'm sure it will continue to be! :D
Yeah, I figured you'd want that sign to be eligible, it was more of a suggestion anyway. As I said, DOF is entirely a matter of taste (I for instance tend to turn it off in FPS games, DOF tends to distract a lot when you have to be precise, but I love DOF in photos and videos. I know, I'm weird.), so there's no reason to use it if you don't want to, that's perfectly fine. However, you might want to keep that function in the back of your head, it might come in handy in later renders :)

Anyway, I'm glad I could be helpful in some way, shape or form.

And, as always, keep doing what you love and never stop improving! Cheers
